Raffaella Judd


Raffaella Judd is a teacher and performer originally from Italy where she trained in ballet, jazz, and modern dance.  She worked briefly on the Italian television before moving to France where she started her career.  As a jazz dancer, she worked with the Matt Mattox Dance Company and the Luckine Jazz Dance Company.  In the 1990s, she moved to New York where she spent two years training in modern dance.  Back in Italy, she resumed teaching while joining la Crisalide Modern Dance Company with which she toured and participated in several competitions.  In 1997, she moved to San Diego and joined the Ricardo Peralta Danza Performa, and enrolled at UCSD where she earned a B.A. in Dance.  She is currently teaching at the Academy of Performing Arts.  In the past years, she has performed with Allyson Green Dance for Summerfest 2005 and 2006 and with Yolande Snaith in Garden of Lila (2005), Garden Trilogy (2006), and iMan (2009).
