Chebar  Williams

Chebar Williams has had an extensive career in Ballet. Credits and training include The San Fransisco Ballet Company, American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet and The Joffery Ballet Company, as well as numerous regional ballets. After her ballet career, she changed her direction and dedication towards Comtemporary/Modern dance. Chebar's Contemporary and Modern credits include work with Alvin Aliey American Dance Theater and Sam Watson. She was a principle dancer with Jazz Unlimited Dance Company and worked with Daniel Ezralow of Eros. Chebar has worked in the LA commercial industry including industrials, awards shows, and was on the television show FAME LA. After a full and successful career and having her son, she turned her focus and attention to teaching. Sharing her experience and knowledge with the next generation of aspiring dancers. As a renowned master teacher, Chebar Williams continues to teach and choreograph both nationally and abroad. In the summer of 2007, Chebar trademarked and launched her new teaching method as well as her week-long ballet and Contemporary Intensives.The Chebar Project, which encompasses both the Intensives and The Chebar Integrated Method, or CIM. Following this release will be teaching DVD's and a series of books on the CIM techniques; covering the fundamentals and basis of the method. Chebar has trained many successful dancers who have been accepted to American Ballet Theatre, New York City Ballet, Joffery Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and the Houston Ballet. As well as the Boston Ballet, Alvin Ailey, the Julliard School and Miami City Ballet. She has students who have gone on to the television show So You Think You Can Dance, videos and tours in LA, as well as roles on Broadway. She continues teach and choreograph, both ballet and contemporary works, and is currently in her nineth season as a faculty member with Company Dance Conventions.
